My final video was inspired by the Simpsons. I wanted to use a quote from homer simpson and focus the video around that!
i used the i am so smart phrase that he said:
"I am so smart, i am so smart......... S.M.R.T......... I mean S.M.A.R.T "
I like how it the video turned out and really liked doing the whole process!!

this is my final video i did using the stop motion technique!!
its a little shaky due to the fact i didn't have a tripod and had to take the pictures myself making sure that i stayed as still as i could.
I'm pleased with how it still turned out and enjoyed the whole process.

I came across this and really liked it. While being very simple it is still effective as the constant shape of the money allow the letters to be precise, optimising the effect the overall video has.

These are more like the videos i now want to do as they are realistic and offer quite an impressive affect on the viewer. these types of moving typography videos are done using stop motion and offer a simplistic method of obtaining a great result.

Above are some moving typography videos that i came across that i really like!! For my own video i may attempt to do something similar to this or go another route, i am still undecided.

i've always been a big fan of scrubs and this moving type video of a monologue that the character HOOCH did is a favourite as the type moves seamlessly with the voiceover.

i really like this video as i incorporates alot or different fonts, styles etc allowing it to keep you attention throughout!!!

This is my final piece of which i did a tophat. I used the words "WEARING TYPOGRAPHY" in a block style writing which i cut from cardboard and used as the main cylinder of the hat, i then painted it matt black and finished it with white outline to make it stand out better!! i really enjoyed doing this project and i feel that my final idea turned out really well and protrays the message of typography in clothes whilst also answering the brief we were set!!

An idea that i messed around with and then made a mock up sample to see how it would turn out. I choose to do a shoe of some kind using the words "WEARING TYPOGRAPHY" for the sides. i think it turned out really well however i did not use it as my final idea.

great idea for a bag and would prove just as effective at carrying items as any other bag. the incorporation of typography allows to bag to be very fashionable and very appealing to the eye.

great ideas of incorporating typography into fashion. 2 very different approaches taken in that one is simplistic with the other being very sophisticated and complicated. however both differ in complexity they still provide equal appeal to the viewer.

examples of wearing type in a different way!! this is the alphabet with people spelling out the letters by which way they move and manipulate the fabric they are wearing. This is very attractive to look at and shows that the person has be very innovative!!

some ideas for the new brief of "WEARING TYPE." above is examples of typography used in fashion. The type is used to form part of the outfit and this makes it stand out and make a bold statement. Very effective!!

examples of me experimenting with letters and layout!

Seen as a national symbol of PRIDE i chose to do Barack Obama for my project and created him in photoshop using only the word "PRIDE"
by resizing and transforming the text i was able to create his face which turned out really well.

Images associated with "greed" in which i created a cupcake and a burger using only type. This was good to do and i feel that they turned out really well. I used a variation of colours to make the images stand out!

More images from paddys class to do with pride!!

Samples of typography images that i created for paddys class. these images are of a lion which i created from letters in photoshop, the task was to created images to do with pride so i took the literal meaning and went with an image of a lion as in "a pride of lions"
i feel i worked out really well and i enjoyed doing it!!!

Sample of grids on a house
This is when i experimented with a picture of myself from which i created a stencil and then filled it with type in order to create a typography face of myself. i created a brush of my name and filled the areas that i cut out!

Really like the type as it is rough and stands out well on the poster!! catches your eye very easily and this is key with any form of advertising!!

Still regarded as typography, i Chose these pieces of Graffitti as i liked the composition and the flow of the writing. Also as they are on a ridged surfaceand this adds texture to the image and allows light to fall on the text from different angles.
Chose this as the logo is only made of letters with the "Q" being skewed and fill to look like buildings as seen from a birdseye view. "Chose to" (had no choice) take the picture through a fence which resulted in a grid effect on the image.
Block, bulky writing which suits being at a height as it makes it easier to read. The raised lettering gives a shadow effect and allows the writing to stand out from its surroundings!!!

"DISTINCTIVE"

I chose this as i liked the style of the writing
and how it tied the poster together.
The fade along with the drop shadow allow
the text to stand out from the poster but not
too much as to overwhelm it!!
