examples of me experimenting with letters and layout!

Seen as a national symbol of PRIDE i chose to do Barack Obama for my project and created him in photoshop using only the word "PRIDE"
by resizing and transforming the text i was able to create his face which turned out really well.

Images associated with "greed" in which i created a cupcake and a burger using only type. This was good to do and i feel that they turned out really well. I used a variation of colours to make the images stand out!

More images from paddys class to do with pride!!

Samples of typography images that i created for paddys class. these images are of a lion which i created from letters in photoshop, the task was to created images to do with pride so i took the literal meaning and went with an image of a lion as in "a pride of lions"
i feel i worked out really well and i enjoyed doing it!!!

Sample of grids on a house
This is when i experimented with a picture of myself from which i created a stencil and then filled it with type in order to create a typography face of myself. i created a brush of my name and filled the areas that i cut out!

Really like the type as it is rough and stands out well on the poster!! catches your eye very easily and this is key with any form of advertising!!

Still regarded as typography, i Chose these pieces of Graffitti as i liked the composition and the flow of the writing. Also as they are on a ridged surfaceand this adds texture to the image and allows light to fall on the text from different angles.
Chose this as the logo is only made of letters with the "Q" being skewed and fill to look like buildings as seen from a birdseye view. "Chose to" (had no choice) take the picture through a fence which resulted in a grid effect on the image.
Block, bulky writing which suits being at a height as it makes it easier to read. The raised lettering gives a shadow effect and allows the writing to stand out from its surroundings!!!

"DISTINCTIVE"

I chose this as i liked the style of the writing
and how it tied the poster together.
The fade along with the drop shadow allow
the text to stand out from the poster but not
too much as to overwhelm it!!
